We are your local St Kilda dental practice, situated on the corner of Chapel Street and Carlisle Street (above Chapel Gate Pharmacy) and are conveniently located with tram stops right outside our door. The newly renovated Balaclava train station a hop skip and jump away.

We are a modern state of the art practice, utilising the technology of digital X-rays and Intra-oral cameras to diagnose and educate our patients. Chapel Gate Dental follow current privacy laws and maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all our patients.

Our welcoming staff truly care about our patients and ensure that their health, safety and privacy are a priority. Each staff member is qualified to provide our patients with the peace of mind only the highest quality of infection control procedures can provide. We ensure that all legal requirements are fulfilled when it comes to sterilizing our instruments and disinfecting our equipment. We regularly attend training sessions on how to deal with medical emergencies and perform CPR and always have oxygen and EpiPens available should a patient urgently need medical attention.

Preferred
Provider Arrangements

We are preferred providers for BUPA, HCF, NIB, CBHS, and WESTFUND.

This means that you should be entitled to your regular dental check-ups and cleans at no out-of-pocket expense once or twice a year (please contact your Private Health Fund for details depending on your plan). With all other treatments required, members will also receive a higher rebate compared to other Dentists who are not preferred provider of HCF.

Payment Options

HICAPS

All our Dental Clinics are equipped with Hicaps Terminals. This means that we are able to process your Private Health Insurance and Medicare claims on the spot. So you are not required to physically take the claim to your Health Fund, saving you time and effort.

In addition to popular Health Funds like BUPA, Medibank Private, HCF, NIB, CBHS, there are many more Health Funds are processed through HiCaps. You can see the most up to date list here

Cash, Credit and Debit Cards (EFTPOS)

We accept Cash, Debit Card and Credit Cards. We do not accept Diners Card or Personal Checks.

Bulk Billing – Child Dental Benefits Schedule

If your child is eligible for Bulk Billing under Child Dental Benefits Schedule, we process the payment through Medicare Easyclaim. So you are not required to pay anything from your pocket (unless additional treatment is carried out which is not covered by Child Dental Benefits Schedule scheme).

DVA Patients

If you are holding a Gold Card from DVA, you are not required to pay from your pocket. We claim electronically from DVA through our HiCaps terminal.

My Smile Payment Plan

If you opt for My Smile Payment Plan and your application is accepted, you are required to pay a 20% Deposit and the balance will be covered by My Smile Plan with easy monthly instalments.

The deposit can be paid by Cash, Debit Card of Credit Card. Denti Care Payment Plans will be debited from your Bank Account or Credit Card as per your instructions. These payments can be weekly, fortnightly, or monthly as per your agreement signed.
